Frequently Asked Questions
Vaccinations & Health Requirements
What vaccines are required?
We require rabies vaccination only. We accept 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year rabies vaccinations.
Please note: we do not accept dogs with fresh vaccines. There must be a minimum two-week grace period after vaccination before your dog can attend daycare, boarding, grooming, or training services.
Spay & Neuter Policy
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?
No. We do not require dogs to be spayed or neutered.
However, we cannot accept females in heat at the facility. If your intact female enters heat while scheduled for services, alternate arrangements will need to be made.
Boarding Drop-Off Policies
Drop off and pick up times at Must Love Dogs are seasonally adjusted and individually customized. Because we are intentionally low-capacity with a focus on individualized care, scheduling is built around your dog's routine and needs rather than a fixed window.
This is not a high-volume facility. Every dog here is known, and every arrival and departure is handled with that in mind. Reach out directly to coordinate timing that works best for your dog's transition — we'll work with you to make it as smooth as possible.
Breed & Behavior Policies
Do you have breed restrictions?
We do not restrict breeds.
Each dog is evaluated individually to ensure they are a good fit for our environment and care style.
We believe in giving every dog the opportunity to thrive in a loving and supportive setting.
Our evaluation process focuses on understanding the unique personality and needs of each dog, allowing us to tailor our care to ensure their happiness and well-being.
By emphasizing individual assessments, we create a harmonious environment where both dogs and their human companions feel safe and valued.
Whether your dog is large or small, energetic or laid-back, we are dedicated to providing the best possible experience for all.
Facility Safety & Security
Is your facility safe and secure?
Yes. Safety is a top priority.
- The facility is equipped with multiple security cameras throughout the property.
- Outdoor areas are enclosed by an 8-foot privacy fence.
- Play yards, suites, and indoor spaces are separated using 6-foot retriever panels for safety and control.
For safety reasons, we do not board dogs with a known history of climbing or jumping fences.
Facility Access & Visitation
Can I tour the facility or go into dog care areas?
For the safety of both people and dogs, pet parents are not permitted to enter areas where dogs are being cared for.
That said:
- Most of the facility can be viewed from the lobby
- Photos and videos of the play yards and daily activities are regularly shared on our social media channels
This policy helps maintain calm, structured energy throughout the facility.
Training Services
What training methods do you use?
Training is relationship-based and individualized. We focus on clear communication, structure, and long-term behavior change—not quick fixes.
Do you work with reactive or challenging dogs?
Yes. Many clients come to us for help with reactivity, anxiety, and behavioral challenges. An initial assessment is required to determine the best approach.
How long does training take?
Every dog is different. Results depend on consistency, follow-through, and the individual dog’s needs. Training is a process, not a one-time event.
